The IEM GeoPortal is the publishing platform for geospatial data and maps of the Instituto de Estudos Medievais (Institute of Medieval Studies) at the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences of the NOVA University Lisbon (NOVA FCSH).

This project aims to achieve three main objectives:

• Support the publication and sharing of geodata resulting from research conducted at IEM;
• Facilitate access to and reuse of essential geodata for the study of the Middle Ages;
• Encourage and support best practices for using and sharing geodata and open data.

This platform is a modified version of the Open Source software GeoNode. For more information, visit GeoNode.org official website.
